As we begin a new academic year, I am delighted to introduce you to the newest members of the FAS faculty. A total of 55 new ladder and multi-year instructional colleagues will join us this academic year. Of the 35 new ladder faculty and professors who have joined us in New Haven this year, 26 joined the ladder this July, four more join in January, and five will be here as visitors during the 2021-2022 academic year before joining the ladder faculty. We also welcome 20 faculty members newly-appointed to multi-year instructional positions. I hope you will join me in welcoming these extraordinary colleagues to the Yale community.
