Charles Krug Smart

Charles Smart is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics. He is an analyst studying partial differential equations and probability, with an interest in the interaction between smooth macroscopic behavior and discrete stochastic processes.  He wrote his PhD in 2010 at UC Berkeley under Lawrence Evans and Leo Harrington.  He has held positions at Courant, MIT, Cornell, and the University of Chicago.  He was awarded a Sloan Fellowship in 2014.
