Julia Anne Leonard

Julia Leonard joins the Department of Psychology as an Assistant Professor. She received her B.A. in Neuroscience and Behavior from Wesleyan University, her Ph.D. in Cognitive Science from MIT, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Leonard’s research focuses on the cognitive, neural, and computational representations underlying children’s learning and motivation. Her work has appeared in outlets such as Science, Psychological Science, and Child Development and her research has been funded by the NSF graduate student research fellowship and a University of Pennsylvania MindCore fellowship.
