Guillermo Noguera

Senior Lecturer in Economics

Guillermo Noguera received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley in 2011. Prior to joining Yale, he was an Assistant Professor at the University of Warwick. Noguera’s research regards international trade with a focus on global value chains. He has studied the causes and consequences of the cross-border fragmentation of production at both the macro and micro levels. His work has been published in the American Economic Review, the Journal of International Economics, and the Review of Economics and Statistics, and has been featured in The Economist, the New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal, among others. At Yale, he will teach the advanced undergraduate course ECON 403/GLBL 332: “Trade and Development.”
