Rachel Diethorn

Rachel Diethorn obtained her Ph.D. in Mathematics at Syracuse University in May 2020, and she joins Yale as a Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics.   Her research area is homological commutative algebra, and she is particularly interested in questions involving Koszul homology and resolutions.  Rachel’s teaching interests include active learning and making mathematics accessible.  This year she will teach MATH 107: Mathematics in the Real World, MATH 112: Calculus of Functions of One Variable I, and MATH 120: Calculus of Functions of Several Variables.
