Yuping Ruan
Gibbs Assistant Professor of Mathematics
Yuping Ruan joins FAS as Gibbs Assistant Professor of Mathematics. Before joining Yale, he was a Boas Assistant Professor at Northwestern University and received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Michigan.
Ruan’s area of research is in geometry, topology, and dynamical systems, with a particular focus on nonpositively curved geometry and random dynamical systems.
Ruan’s recent work includes contributions to volume entropy rigidity, simplicial volume, nonpositively curved manifolds, and stationary measures for random dynamical systems
