Jamie Hinston
Assistant Professor of Political Science and of Global Affairs
Jamie Hintson joins the FAS and the Jackson School as Assistant Professor of Political Science and of Global Affairs. His research centers around corruption and the political geography of development, with a regional focus on sub-Saharan Africa.
Hinston is currently working on a book about the expansion of public infrastructure in rural Africa. His research combines satellite imagery with field-based data collection in Ghana and Uganda.
Hinston has published his research in the American Journal of Political Science and International Organization. Prior to joining Yale, he was a postdoctoral scholar at the Harvard Academy for International and Area Studies. He holds a PhD in Political Science from Stanford University and an AB in Politics from Princeton University
