Michaela Herrmann

Michaela Herrmann is a Communications Specialist in the FAS Dean’s Office. As the team’s Staff Writer and Reporter, she writes short- and long-form stories about the research and teaching of FAS faculty, highlighting their contributions to the Yale community and their respective fields of knowledge.

Michaela joined the FAS Dean’s Office in 2024. Prior to joining the staff at FAS, Michaela was an investigative journalist and researcher at nonprofit news site DeSmog, where she specialized in reporting on climate misinformation, corporate climate policy, and the effect of climate change on the world’s food systems. Previously, she was a podcast producer for the Phelan US Centre at the London School of Economics.

Michaela holds an MSc in Global Politics from the London School of Economics and a BA in International Studies from the Honors College at the College of Charleston.
