Dorottya (Doro) Noble joined the FAS Dean’s Office in the fall of 2022 as Assistant Dean of the FAS. Her primary responsibility is to administer the Science and Social Science departments in the FAS along with associated cross-departmental programs and centers.

Prior to starting this role, she was the Associate Director of the Program in Physics, Engineering and Biology, and of the Integrated Graduate Program in Physical and Engineering Biology at Yale University. In that role, Doro led/co-led many initiatives focused on bringing together researchers from the biological and physical sciences, and engineering to enable cutting-edge convergent research and training programs. In addition to developing and leading a variety of programs for graduate and undergraduate students, Doro was involved in strategic planning, budgeting, program admissions, monitoring student progress, and organizing and co-teaching in courses. She also spearheaded the program’s recruiting and science outreach efforts. She wrote and led funded grant proposals, which supported training and science outreach initiatives on their own or as part of a large center grant. Doro presented the outcomes of these efforts regularly, publishing when possible.

Doro received her PhD in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from Yale University, studying the structural changes that precede and allow for protein aggregation in a disease-based model system. As a Yale alumnus, she enjoys mentoring graduate students via Cross Campus, which is Yale’s online networking and mentoring platform for students and alumni.
