Emily Erikson, Professor of Sociology, Named 50th President of Social Science History Association
The Social Science History Association was established in 1974 by scholars “interested in using social science methods and theories to better understand the past.”
Emily Erikson, Professor and chair of Sociology, has been named the fiftieth president of the Social Science History Association.
Erikson, who is also the Joseph C. Fox Academic Director of the Fox International Fellowship, accepted the role on November 2.
The Social Science History Association was established in 1974 by scholars “interested in using social science methods and theories to better understand the past.”
Erikson previously served as the organization’s vice-president from 2023 – 2024.
