Rebeccah Warmack
Assistant Professor of Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry
Rebeccah Warmack joins the FAS as Assistant Professor of Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry. She received her PhD from UCLA, where she characterized both spontaneous and enzymatically-mediated post-translational modifications and their recognition enzymes. Pursuing a passion for structural biology, she carried out postdoctoral training at Caltech, where she applied various cryoEM methodologies to the challenging problem of the nitrogenase enzyme and biological nitrogen fixation. She has a special interest in the development and application of structural biology methods, including anaerobic cryoEM and cryoET. Her group is applying these new methods to decipher the structures of protein complexes that regulate the global nitrogen cycle or impact human health.
