Mellissa Meisels

Mellissa Meisels joins the FAS as Postdoctoral Associate in the Center for the Study of American Politics for the 2024-2025 academic year, and will be Assistant Professor of Political Science and a faculty fellow in the Institution for Social and Policy Studies beginning in 2025. Her research centers around American politics with a focus on the U.S. Congress, electoral campaigns, money in politics, and political organizations. Some of Mellissa’s research has appeared in the British Journal of Political Science and has received awards from the Political Organizations and Parties section of the American Political Science Association. She received her PhD in Political Science from Vanderbilt University and her BA in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles.
