Lingxin Zhang
Lingxin Zhang joins Yale as Lector of Ancient Egyptian Languages in the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Cultures. Her research interest lies in early sciences, divination, and gender in Graeco-Roman Egypt. Her forthcoming book edits and translates two astrological papyri written for women in Roman Egypt. Though specializing in philology, Zhang complements her studies with interdisciplinary discussion, such as the critical gender and race theories. Zhang is a member of multiple excavations, including the Mut Temple Expedition and the Egyptian-Chinese archaeological mission at the Temple of Montu, Karnak.
