Eric Geiger obtained their Ph.D. at North Carolina State University in 2021 and joins Yale as a Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics. Their research interests are broadly in differential geometry and the application of differential invariants. Eric is interested in helping to make mathematics and teaching more accessible to a wide range of students and connecting mathematics to other disciplines in their teaching. This year they are teaching MATH 112: Calculus of Functions of One Variable I and MATH 116: Mathematical Models in the Biosciences I: Calculus Techniques. Eric also enjoys riding bikes, and camping, sometimes doing both at the same time.
