Dinner Sign-ups

The Connection and Collaboration Dinners program is intended to foster faculty collaboration across departments and divisions, and to rebuild community in the FAS and SEAS in the wake of the period of remote operations necessitated by the pandemic.

The program aims to encourage faculty to reconnect with colleagues, meet new ones, and develop networks that might lead to new avenues in teaching and research. To facilitate this, the FAS Dean’s Office will provide funds to support dinners or lunches for groups of faculty, representing two or more FAS and SEAS departments.

In Spring 2023, FAS and SEAS faculty may propose a group dinner or sign up to attend the following events:

Themed Dinners

  • Scholars at Risk – hosted by Steven Wilkinson, Yale MacMillan Center - March 7, 6:15 PM
  • Social and political challenges and opportunities for ChatGPT, hosted by Alan Gerber and Jas Sekhon, Institution for Social and Policy Studies - April 3, 6:00 PM
  • Climate Mitigation and Solutions – hosted by David Bercovici, Yale Center for Natural Carbon Capture - April 4, 6:00 PM

Unthemed Dinners

The Dean’s Offices will connect sets of interested faculty who would simply like to meet others in the FAS and SEAS to make new connections and develop new intellectual synergies, without a particular theme in mind.

Sign up below. If, instead of signing up to attend a dinner, you would like to host one, please submit a proposal here.
