Ivan Loseu

Professor of Mathematics

Ivan Loseu is Professor of Mathematics at Yale University. He is interested in representation theory and its connections to geometry and combinatorics. His work deals with understanding various manifestations of symmetry in mathematics. Loseu was an invited speaker of the International Congress of Mathematicians in 2010, he was awarded the Sloan Research Fellowship in 2014, and he became a fellow of the American Mathematical Society in 2018. Prior to coming to Yale, he was a Professor at the University of Toronto, Associate and then Full Professor at Northeastern University, and a CLE Moore Instructor at MIT. He obtained his Ph.D. from Moscow State University in 2007.
