Courses in Earth and Planetary Sciences and Economics

I thought that the Teaching Relief for Learning program gave me a great opportunity to improve some of my knowledge and acquire tools from economics and engineering that I wanted to incorporate in my research but did not have the time and the opportunity to research before. I took a class on dynamical systems from engineering to understand new and established research on the topic which is not familiar to economists . The class on labor economics allowed me to sharpen my theoretical and empirical knowledge in labor economics (not my field of study but an important subject in economics with a lot of methodological innovations). I even had the chance to solve a problem for my research that I couldn’t solve earlier by delving into some of the class material, which I wouldn’t have the chance to know unless taking this class.
