Thomas VandenBoom

Gibbs Assistant Professor of Mathematics

Thomas VandenBoom received his Ph.D. from Rice University in 2018. His doctoral dissertation was titled “Isospectral Dynamics of Reflectionless Jacobi Operators.” His research focuses on the interface of direct and inverse spectral theory of one-dimensional linear operators on Hilbert space. This fall, VandenBoom is teaching two sections of MATH 112: “Calculus of Functions of One Variable I.” He will also teach a section of MATH 222: “Linear Algebra with Applications” in the spring.
