Spring 2021 Calendar Announcements (October 8, 2020)

[Summary: The spring 2021 academic calendar was announced earlier this week. Yale College and the Graduate School of Arts and Science have sent follow up messages to students.]

Dear FAS faculty,

Earlier this week, Peter Salovey and Scott Strobel announced Yale’s plans for the spring 2021 semester. If you have not already had the opportunity to read this announcement, you can find it here. The announcement outlines the spring 2021 academic calendar (with classes beginning February 1 and ending May 7), and describes plans for residential life, teaching and research, campus de-densification, and COVID-19 prevention.

Yale College and the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences have sent follow-up messages to undergraduates and graduate students. I invite you to review these messages so that you are aware of the guidance that is being provided to students.

  • A message to undergraduate students from Marvin Chun, Dean of Yale College, is available here.
  • A message to graduate students from Lynn Cooley, Dean of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, is available here.

Thank you again for all that you do for your students, for the FAS, and for Yale.

Warmly,

Tamar
