Dear colleagues,

As announced by Dean Gendler in November, Nelleke Van Deusen-Scholl will be retiring from her role as Director of the Center for Language Study (CLS) at the end of the 2022-23 academic yar. We are now launching a search for her successor. The search committee is listed below. I wish to extend my thanks to Theresa Schenker, Senior Lector II in German, for agreeing to chair the committee and to the other members as they undertake this important work. 

You are invited to provide input on the search at fas.dean@yale.edu using the subject line “CLS Search.” We do expect that there will be other opportunities for the community to engage with this process. We will keep you apprised.
