Celebrate the holidays with the FAS Dean’s Office: Cast a vote for your favorite cause
This year, the FAS Dean’s Office will donate funds that would ordinarily have been spent on holiday parties to three New Haven-based organizations who do vital work to help our local community thrive:
- The Community Soup Kitchen: serving over 75,000 meals annually across downtown New Haven.
- The Diaper Bank of Connecticut: Providing diapers and other basic health needs to families throughout Connecticut.
- Food in Service of the Homebound (FISH): delivering groceries to homebound neighbors who are experiencing food insecurity in Greater New Haven.
We invite you to vote and choose your favorite cause; our donation will be divided among the three organizations based on the proportion of votes.
Everyone who votes will be entered in our holiday raffle! Prizes will include signed copies of prizewinning books by FAS faculty, and gift cards for treats, experiences, and more from local small businesses that we are eager to support, including People Get Ready Bookstore, Pistachio Café, The Glass Jar Natural Tea, Crepes Choupette, and many others.
Voting closes at 12:00 PM on Monday, December 20. Raffle winners will be announced soon afterwards.
