Sam Raskin

Sam Raskin joins Yale as the James E. English Professor of Mathematics. Raskin received his B.A. in mathematics from the University of Chicago in 2009 and his Ph.D. in mathematics from Harvard University in 2014. He was previously an assistant professor at the University of Texas at Austin. Raskin specializes in representation theory and algebraic geometry. His research focuses on the geometric Langlands program, where his work has emphasized the use of geometric tools to understand representation theory, automorphic sheaves, and automorphic functions.
