Clark, named as the B.E. Bensinger Professor of Comparative Literature and of Slavic Languages and Literatures, focuses her research on Russian, European, and Eurasian film, literature, performing arts, art, architecture, and literary theory; cultural interactions; world literature; and art and ideology. Goncharov, designated as the Philip Schuyler Beebe Professor of Mathematics, focuses his research on arithmetic algebraic geometry, geometry, representation theory, and mathematical physics. Read Goncharov’s announcement.

Laura Nasrallah, currently of Harvard Divinity School, has been appointed as the Buckingham Professor of New Testament Criticism and Interpretation. Her research brings together New Testament and early Christian literature with the archaeological remains of the Mediterranean world, and focusing particularly on issues of empire, gender, and race and ethnicity.
