Dear colleagues,
We are writing to provide information on whom to contact in the FAS Dean's Office on various topics. Note that this is not a full listing of FAS Dean's Office staff (see our directory), but rather a list of people who can assist with the most common questions that we receive.
As a reminder, questions can always be directed to fas.dean@yale.edu and the appropriate member of the team will respond.
Division-specific questions
Humanities
Marc Robinson, FAS Dean of Humanities, is supported by Carolyn Kyrtopoulos.
John Mangan, Senior Associate Dean and Dean of Faculty Affairs, supports humanities units and oversees faculty affairs FAS-wide.
Jason Zentz, Senior Associate Dean, supports lecturer-track faculty in the Department of English and all lector-track faculty.
Social Science
Alan Gerber, Acting FAS Dean of Social Science, receives support from Kira Wishart at ISPS for scheduling and Alex Nedelcu for other administrative matters.
Bob Burger, Senior Associate Dean, and Dorottya Noble, Assistant Dean, support social science and science units.
Science
Larry Gladney, FAS Dean of Science, is supported by Nicole Gilmore.

Academic policies and processes
Jason Zentz, Senior Associate Dean, is responsible for all ladder faculty searches and leads the academic policies and process team.
As previously announced, Taylor Mascari has been promoted to Assistant Director of Faculty Affairs, supporting ladder faculty review, promotion, and tenure processes, including the Tenure and Appointments Committees and the Joint Boards of Permanent Officers.
Daniel Oshiro was recently promoted to Senior Administrative Assistant 2 and now supports all ladder faculty search procedures.
Patrick Myers now supports all instructional faculty procedures, including searches and reappointment and promotion reviews. Patrick also supports the leave application process for instructional faculty and non-tenured ladder faculty in Interfolio.
Carolyn Kyrtopoulos supports secondary appointment processes.
FAS Dean administrative support
Kathryn Dunn has joined the FAS Dean's Office as the Senior Executive Assistant to FAS Dean Steven Wilkinson. Please contact Kathy for requests involving Dean Wilkinson.
Communications
Alexandra Apolloni, Associate Dean, Strategic Initiatives and Communications, manages FAS Dean's Office communications.
Contact Michaela Herrmann, Communications Specialist (Staff Writer/Reporter) to share faculty news and updates. News items can also be submitted via webform.
Faculty development
The Scholars as Leaders; Scholars as Learners (SAL2) program is coordinated by Natalie DeVaull-Robichaud, Communications and Project Specialist. Contact sal2.fas@yale.edu with any questions.
Centralized support
Theresa Pierson, Director, Staff Operations, supports all staffing and HR-related issues in the FAS.
The FASDO Finance Team can be reached at fasdo.finops@yale.edu for questions or concerns regarding budgeting, research funding, and faculty salary processes.
Julie Sweigard, Assistant Director of Administration & Operations, supports staff hiring in FAS academic units and manages temporary staff support for FAS academic units. Department and program chairs, lead administrators, and operations managers can request temporary administrative, registrar, and faculty appointments and promotions support by contacting Julie.
Nadine Gannam has joined the FAS Dean's Office as Faculty Appointments and Promotions Specialist, supporting academic units with faculty search, review, appointment, promotion, and tenure processes. Contact Julie Sweigard at julie.sweigard@yale.edu to request Nadine's assistance.
