Giuseppe Martone

Giuseppe Martone is a Gibbs Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics.  He received his Ph.D. from the University of Southern California with advisor Francis Bonahon. Prior to Yale, he was a Postdoctoral Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

His research is in the area of Geometric Topology known as higher Teichmuller theory.
He likes to leverage dynamical and algebraic methods to obtain geometric results on families of discrete and faithful representations of surface groups which are Anosov.
