Dear colleagues,

We are delighted to announce the arrival of a new FAS staff member who will provide support for film programming needs across FAS departments and programs. Marc Francis joined the FAS as Film Programming Manager in January. In this role, Marc will engage with faculty, academic departments, students and to curate vibrant, public-facing film and media programs that are interwoven into the academic curriculum. He is responsible for coordinating film programs with FAS departments and programs. Marc holds a PhD in Film and Digital Media from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Prior to joining the FAS, he served as Head Programmer for Wayward Cinema (Los Angeles), and worked in film archiving, preservation, and servicing at Paramount Pictures, Warner Brothers Discovery, and HBO. He is currently the Associate Editor of Film Quarterly where he has served on the editorial staff for over eight years.

Departments and programs who are interested in working with Marc to develop film and media-related programs can contact him at marc.francis@yale.edu.

In addition, we wish to remind you of other sources of central support for FAS departments and programs:

• The Faculty Appointment and Promotions Specialists provide assistance to departments who seek support with faculty search, appointment, and promotion processes. For more information, please contact Julie Sweigard, Assistant Director of Administration and Operations at julie.sweigard@yale.edu.
• The FAS web team provides website support services for FAS departments and programs. They offer technical website maintenance services to FAS departments, programs, labs, and centers who use the YaleSites platform; are available to consult on projects that may need an alternative hosting solution; and can advise FAS faculty and staff on other website-related needs. To contact the FAS web team please email fas.web@yale.edu.

Best wishes,

FAS Dean’s Office
