On Friday October 12, the Faculty of Arts and Sciences Dean’s Office celebrated the group of faculty members promoted to the rank of Full Professor between July 1, 2016 and July 1, 2018 with a luncheon at the Provost’s House. The newly promoted cohort is comprised of 48 faculty members, of which 37 are external hires joining Yale as full professors and 11 faculty members who were internally promoted from the rank of associate professor. In total, the group represents the four FAS academic divisions: Humanities, Social Science, Science, and the School of Engineering and Applied Science, including those who will be joining cross-divisional departments.
During the celebration, FAS Dean Tamar Gendler expressed her enthusiasm for the each of the carefully selected scholars promoted by our institution who will add to the rigor of our intellectual community. The FAS collectively congratulates these exceptional colleagues.
