Faculty and friends of the FAS braved the elements on Monday, December 2nd to kick off the holiday season. For many, it was their first opportunity to visit the beautiful, new Yale Science Building Pavilion. For all, it was a chance to enjoy each other’s company and sample delicious treats from Crêpe Choupette and Yale Catering. The evening also featured a raffle including as prizes a fMRI scan and 3D printout of your brain, courtesy of Yale Psychology Professor Nick Turk-Browne; a print of one of the photographs from Yale Astronomy Professor Pieter van Dokkum’s Dragonflies: Magnificent Creatures of Water, Air, and Land; and a copy of Yale Needs Women – the story of the co-education of Yale College.
