We moved from NYC to East Rock in August and fell in love with the neighborhood immediately. There’s a warm, friendly vibe. A block party and a whole series of Halloween celebrations were a great way to get to know our neighbors and make friends beyond the Yale community. My kids felt at home right away. East Rock Park is a gem, with its running and hiking trails through thick woods, and a panoramic view as a reward for a hike to the top. We love the family-owned Italian markets on Orange St., with their imported cheeses and outdoor patios. And I love being able to walk to campus, which takes half an hour or less.”
