Dr. Bethany Zemba, EdD joined Yale in 2004 and currently serves as Senior Associate Dean, the Chief of Staff, and Senior Advisor to the Dean of the FAS, Tamar Gendler. In this role, Bethany is the primary person for directing communication, both within the office and with senior university leaders. She organizes major projects, oversees strategic initiatives, manages the flow of information and monitors the many activities that are on-going in the FAS Dean’s Office.
Prior to joining the FAS, Bethany spent twelve years at the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies, where she served as Chief of Staff to Dean Peter Crane and Assistant Dean. In those roles, Bethany had oversight of faculty affairs, digital and online education, communications and web operations, and pre-award government grants. Bethany holds a BS and MPA from the University of Rhode Island and a Doctorate in Education with a focus on higher education administration from Johnson and Wales University.
